You can buy these rectangular planters that are mini-greenhouses. You fill the cells with potting soil, put a couple of seeds in each, a little soil on top of the seeds, a little water, then cover with the clear cover & it heats up in a sunny window area just like a little greenhouse. Great way to start those expensive heirloom tomatoes as I did this year. Be ahppy to answer any questions as you go along.

Veron, Wish I were sharing a piece with you. Next time you come to SF, maybe I will be free to visit with you and bring a piece of pie :). The new job made it impossible this time.Ellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04733838869805925920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36460660.post-80040560618634571932007-08-22T08:16:00.000-07:002007-08-22T08:16:00.000-07:00Wow, really wished I was there. That is such a love...Wow, really wished I was there. That is such a lovely pie!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36460660.post-57835688732589664922007-08-21T13:25:00.000-07:002007-08-21T13:25:00.000-07:00I can't tell you how much I want to grow my own to...I can't tell you how much I want to grow my own tomatoes, and pictures like these make me all the more keen.
